if anyone benefits it would be poor people. because global warming makes everyone else poorer. Any government market intervention would weaken the economy so there’s no motive for it, really. Both candidates are aware of this, reluctantly.

I am not deying man-made global warming. I totally agree that it’s true.
However, we know at some point everything we see now will be totally different due to earth’s everchanging nature whether it be continental drift, ice age, non-man caused global warming, etc. And all these events will destroy costal cities and radically redefine the landscapes.
So what I’m asking is why are you putting so much effort into preventing the inevitable destruction that earth will impose on humans?
We’re all doomed to extinction and an everchanging planet.

Yes, you could find vehement tobacco/cancer link deniers in the 80s.

The parallel is almost the same as with Evolution. I wonder how many GW deniers dont believe in Evolution.

Do you think that people these days are knowledgeable about what is going on with it, or do you think that people know but just don’t care?

The population of chinstrap penguins has decreased about 60% over the years because the krill that they feed off of live under a layer of ice, and since the earth is warming and the ice is melting, the krill population is declining.

Polar bears may be added to the endangered species list because their habitat is melting away.

Reindeer are moving south because they cannot get to the grass up north anymore because of freezing rain.

Also, if you have any ideas on how to help global warming, please feel free to add a possible solution or two to your answer. Thank you!

There are so many actions we as humans can take to reduce and slow global warming.

For example, I always do carpool when going off town with other friends or family. I always recycle and put everything in the right container. I use my bike to go close places. I reduce the electricity usage in my house and many other things that we sometimes think don’t effect the cause.

What are you doing to reduce global warming?

In talking with a lot of people about global warming it seams that people dont want to talk about the science or statistics that disagree with them, its like talking to somebody about religion. What I seem to notice is that peoples thoughts about GW are locked in and its pointless to talk to them( arguing at a brick wall comes to mind). Any idea on how to talk to people and accualy change their mind.
